Blake Lively's Unforgettable Betty Booze Ad Spotlights Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham AFC Players: Unleash Your Play-vor

Blake Lively's latest advertisement for Betty Booze has been a big hit, showcasing some of the familiar faces from her husband Ryan Reynolds' Wrexham AFC team.

On Thursday, July 27, Betty Booze's Instagram account posted a clip featuring soccer players James Jones, Rob Lainton, and Luke Young participating in a sales competition at a liquor store. They were tasked with selling the maximum number of drinks within a specific timeframe. Each player was given a different drink (Bourbon, Lemonade, and Shiso) to promote. Young, 30, jokingly described his drink as Blake Lively's special recipe to a customer. In the end, Lainton, 33, emerged as the winner, selling 37 cans. Lively, 35, shared the clip with her Instagram followers, referring to it as "The World Cup ... But a different kind of cup."

Reynolds, aged 46, teamed up with Rob McElhenney in November 2020 to acquire the Welsh football team. Since assuming ownership, they have accomplished the remarkable feat of winning the National League championship and securing promotion to the English Football League after a 15-year hiatus.

Meanwhile, Lively unveiled her latest business venture, Betty Buzz, in September 2021, honoring her father who passed away in June 2021.

In a press release, Blake shared that her father, Ernest Brown Jr., who went by Ernie Lively, had changed his last name after marrying her mother, Elaine Lively. Despite this, he had always been supportive of her and her endeavors. As Blake worked hard to establish her company, she wanted to honor her father by choosing a name that held significance for him. Naming the company after her grandmother and aunt, Betty, felt fitting. Additionally, the name Ernie didn't quite suit a mixer. Recently, Blake introduced Betty Booze, a new addition to her Betty Buzz line, consisting of gourmet sparkling cocktails in a convenient can.

"Hello, I'm Betty Booze. These are recipes that I've been preparing for my loved ones for many years. However, with the arrival of my four children, I have grown exhausted. Therefore, I have decided to make these recipes available in a convenient canned form. Feel free to enjoy them, but please do so responsibly...well, kind of," she shared on her Instagram Stories.

Following the release of her new product line, the actress faced some backlash for creating alcoholic beverages despite not consuming them herself. Blake addressed the criticism on social media, explaining that her childhood lemonade stand recipe was the inspiration behind Betty Booze.

"Yes, I still operate lemonade stands, but of course, without any alcohol. And it sells out rapidly. It took me until my twenties to finally master the recipe. It truly is a tangy masterpiece," she wrote alongside an Instagram Story post featuring her running a lemonade stand with a sign reading "21 + over." "However, the adults in my life constantly craved an alcoholic version. That's when the concept of @bettybooze came to life. Now they can let me be and I can return to my lemonade stand hustle. It's quite a confidence booster."
