Produced by CloverWorks, Black Butler Season 4, known as Black Butler: Public School Arc, will adapt the Public School Arc from Yana Toboso's dark fantasy and supernatural manga series.
Black Butler Season 4 introduces new visual features. The manga has been serialized in Square Enix's Monthly GFantasy magazine since September 2006. There have been 33 Tankobon volumes published so far. The latest season showcases Ciel, Sebastian, and the "Prefect 4" from the Public School Arc.

The official staff for Black Butler Season 4 shared a brand new key visual on March 6, 2024. This visual is based on the Public School Arc and was unveiled before the anime's premiere on April 13, 2024.

A drawing video by the anime's character designer, Yumi Shimizu, has been posted on the anime's official website as part of the first installment of Behind the Scenes. The illustration shows Ciel and Sebastian in their iconic outfits.
Additionally, an exclusive screening of Black Butler Season 4 is scheduled for March 24, 2024, at the United Cinema Aqua City Odaiba in Tokyo, Japan. Various voice actors from the anime will also be in attendance.

At the event, participants will receive a special illustration from Shimuzu-san, featuring visuals drawn from BTS.
Black Butler Season 4 is set to premiere on April 13, 2024, at 11:30 pm JST on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and other channels. Crunchyroll has secured the rights to stream the series internationally, outside of Japan.
Kenjiro Okada is leading the anime production at CloverWorks, while Hiroyuki Yoshino is overseeing the series' storyline. Yumi Shimizu is responsible for creating the characters' designs, and Ryo Kawasaki is in charge of composing the music for the anime.
Daisuke Ono plays Sebastian Michaelis, and Maaya Sakamoto reprises her role as Ciel Phantomhive. Joining the voice cast are Junya Enoki as Lawrence Bluer and Shunsuke Takeuchi as Herman Greenhill. Tatsumaru Tachibana voices Gregory Violet, while Toshiki Watanabe voices Edgar Redmond.
The upcoming season will explore the Public School Arc from Yana Toboso's manga. It will follow Ciel and Sebastian as they investigate the mysterious disappearances of students at Weston College, one of Great Britain's most prestigious schools.
