Black Butler anime's Public School adventure debuts in Spring 2024

Previously, the new arc for the Black Butler anime series was announced to be streamed internationally by Crunchyroll in English-speaking, Latin American, and European countries. Crunchyroll also confirmed that it has obtained the license to stream the anime worldwide outside of Japan.

The official website for the upcoming Black Butler anime arc has officially announced that the series is set to be released in April 2024 on Japanese broadcast television. The series will be airing on various networks such as Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, BS11, and MBS, with the premiere date yet to be announced.

Fans can look forward to Daisuke Ono and Maaya Sakamoto reprising their roles as Sebastian Michaelis and Ciel Phantomhive. Sebastian is a demon and butler under contract to serve Ciel, a British noble seeking revenge for his family's deaths. Additionally, Ciel is known as "the Queen's guard dog" in 19th century England's underworld.

Kenjiro Okada is directing the anime at CloverWorks studios, with Hiroyuki Yoshino overseeing series composition. Yumi Shimizu, a key figure in the 2008 series, is serving as the character designer for the new adaptation, while Ryo Kawasaki is composing the music for the new anime.

The popular Black Butler anime franchise is based on Yana Toboso's original manga series. It first aired in Japan in 2008, followed by a second season in 2010. In 2014, the sequel called Book of Circus also premiered.
