Billionaire Rupert Murdoch Set to Tie the Knot Once More

Nonagenarian billionaire Rupert Murdoch has recently gotten engaged to his new partner, just a year after calling off his previous wedding. The couple started dating a few months ago.

News of the engagement was confirmed by Murdoch's media representative to CNN on Friday. This announcement comes right before the billionaire's 93rd birthday next Monday.

Murdoch is getting married for the second time in a year. Last March, he announced his engagement to Ann Lesley Smith, a former dental hygienist and conservative radio host. However, the wedding was called off shortly after.

Now, Murdoch is set to marry Elena Zhukova, a 67-year-old retired molecular biologist. The news was first reported by The New York Times.

Murdoch and Zhukova are said to have begun dating in the summer and are now planning to tie the knot at Moraga Bel Air, Murdoch’s lavish vineyard and estate in California.

Recent photos of the couple have been circulating on various news websites. Zhukova, who is the mother of Russian American art collector Dasha Zhukova, was previously married to Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.

Murdoch recently made it to #280 on Bloomberg's Billionaire Index, boasting a net worth of $9 billion. Last November, he relinquished his position as chairman of News Corporation, passing the reins to his eldest son, Lachlan.

Murdoch’s office did not reply to a request for further information on the timing and location of his upcoming wedding.
