Saber Interactive, the developer, recently confirmed on Twitter that they will no longer be creating additional content for Evil Dead: The Game. Furthermore, they have made the decision to cancel the release of the game on Nintendo Switch.
Saber just confirmed that they will be maintaining the game servers going forward and will promptly address any significant issues that may arise. Evil Dead: The Game made its initial debut at the 2020 Game Awards, showcasing none other than Bruce Campbell reprising his role as the iconic Ash Williams. Originally planned for release in 2021, the game had to be postponed. However, it finally hit the gaming scene on May 13, 2022, available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
Post-launch support for the game included the Splatter Royale and Army of Darkness updates, in addition to a Game of the Year Edition release for consoles.
Our review of Evil Dead: The Game on our website stated, "Evil Dead: The Game stays true to its source material, though sometimes it adheres a bit too closely. Adding more game modes or diverse objectives to its appealing main mode would create a lasting experience for horror fans, potentially even rivaling popular titles like Dead By Daylight or Hunt Showdown."
