A wild bear has been discovered at Walt Disney World in Florida, causing the closure of various sections of the well-known theme park. Reports indicate that the bear was seen near Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland. In response, Disney has temporarily shut down Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and additional attractions, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.
According to WDW Magic, the bear was sighted up in a tree, whereas Mickey Views claimed it was found in a cave on Tom Sawyer's island. Disney has not yet made an official statement regarding this issue.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission approximates that there are over 4,000 black bears residing in Florida, with frequent sightings occurring in the Orlando vicinity. In response to the rising bear population, Florida authorities initiated a hunting season for black bears in 2015, sparking controversy. However, no bear hunting has been legally approved for 2023.
