Viewers quickly noticed deckhand Joe Bradley on Below Deck Mediterranean when he shared a very NSFW sex fact about himself. During the season 9 premiere on Monday, June 3, Joe and fellow deckhand Nathan Gallager got acquainted before bunking together.

"So before I go to bed, my night routine includes something I enjoy doing - finger-blasting my bumhole," Joe shared with a surprised Nathan and Gael Cameron. "It's just a quick one before I go to sleep."

Nathan, not fazed by Joe's humor, responded with a joke, saying, "I might join you. Once I hear that pop, count me in."

Gael noticed Joe and Nathan's fast-developing friendship, jokingly calling it a "bromance" before mentioning she had no plans to visit their cabin. She made it known on camera that she was in a committed relationship, which explained her lack of interest in any romantic advances from her colleagues.

Despite Gael's clear stance, the season trailer hinted at a different dynamic. Nathan had hinted at his feelings for Gael earlier, and it appeared that she might be open to exploring a romantic connection with him.

She confessed to the cameras that she might have a small liking for him. In a different scene, Nathan expressed the need to get away from the cameras with Gael. He sent her a text conveying the same message, and she informed him when they were in the clear. Eventually, they met on the boat where they could have some privacy away from the filming.

Before the season 9 premiere, chief stew Aesha Scott teased plenty of drama between Nathan and Gael.

Aesha shared with TV Insider last month that there is an instant chemistry between Gael and Nathan when Gael comes on the show. She mentions that one of Gael's challenges this season is figuring out what to do with that chemistry and where it leads. Aesha also reveals that there is a love triangle involved, which complicates things for her stews and affects their work performance. She found this situation very difficult to handle and had to seek support from Captain Sandy in the end when she felt overwhelmed and unsure of what to do.

On a personal note, Aesha doesn't have to worry about her own love life as she announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Scott “Scotty” Dobson back in May.

I truly believe that our stability and trust are the reasons behind our strong relationship. I feel incredibly thankful for Scott because he is so confident in himself. He supports me wholeheartedly, even when I have to be away for weeks or months at a time," she shared with TV Insider. "He waits for me to return and is always there for me. I am grateful to have such a loving and supportive partner who keeps me grounded in the midst of all the chaos.

Below Deck Med fans will witness Captain Sandy taking a big step in her relationship. In the official trailer for the season, the cast is seen watching as Sandy proposes to her girlfriend, Leah Shafer, who is now her wife.

The duo, who were in a relationship for several years before getting engaged, tied the knot in May with many stars from the Below Deck franchise in attendance. Sandy and Leah shared their thoughts on their future plans with Us shortly after their wedding.

Leah expressed, "At this point in our lives, every moment we spend together feels like a honeymoon to us. It doesn't have to be planned ahead or set days. For example, just yesterday we were strolling around Tampa when we spotted a cute little green two-seater boat and decided to take it out. Every moment we have together is like a honeymoon for us."

Leah expressed her joy, saying, "Finding this kind of love at this stage in our lives and having the acceptance of our family and friends is truly beautiful. It's a wonderful love story and celebration, that's for sure."

She also shared her excitement about changing her last name after the wedding. Leah said, "Getting married felt surreal to me. Sandy kept saying how amazing marriage feels, and it's incredible to know that I will be taking her name. I am currently in the process of changing my name to Leah Rae Yawn. Transitioning from being a girlfriend to being her wife feels really good. When we go to a hotel, it feels great to say, 'We are the Yawn party.' It's a truly wonderful feeling."

Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 airs on Bravo Mondays at 9 p.m. ET. New episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
