Behati Prinsloo Opens Up About the Gender of Her and Adam Levine's 3rd Child During Emotional Birth Journey

Adam Levine is no longer the sole male presence in the household of him and his wife, Behati Prinsloo.

During an episode of "The Mother Daze" podcast on Thursday, November 2, Prinsloo, aged 35, seemingly disclosed the gender of her and Levine's third child. In a conversation about her experience giving birth, Prinsloo confirmed that she and her 44-year-old husband recently welcomed a baby boy, referring to the child using male pronouns.

Baby No. 3 was born 10 days after the due date. Prinsloo, who has two daughters with Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, decided not to have an epidural or a water birth when they arrived at the hospital. Her doctor gave her the option but assured her there was no pressure. Prinsloo chose to go with her gut feeling and declined any intervention.

She proceeded to jokingly reject doctors' recommendations for a water birth, declaring, "No way. I cannot think of anything worse than being wet right now."

Prinsloo reminisced about enduring a tumultuous mix of emotions and agony while pushing. "I was incredibly tired, yet simultaneously experiencing a blend of sheer joy and excruciating pain," the Namibian native detailed.

“I sat there contemplating, doubting my ability to endure any further. I was uncertain if I had the strength left to exert another ounce of effort,” she explained, revealing, “It required three forceful pushes, filled with extraordinary determination, to successfully bring him into this world.”

The couple's third child was born on the same day as one of Levine's brothers' birthday. Prinsloo playfully mentioned that they celebrated with donuts, and Levine ate approximately twelve donuts due to nervousness.

In September 2022, Prinsloo confirmed her pregnancy with their third child, coinciding with multiple women accusing Levine of infidelity. Levine denied the allegations but expressed remorse through an Instagram Story statement for engaging in any flirtatious conversation with anyone other than his wife. In January, Prinsloo gave birth to their baby boy, whose name is still undisclosed.

Since becoming a family of five, the couple, who got married in 2014, have occasionally shown glimpses of their youngest child through social media. In March, Prinsloo posted a series of Instagram pictures featuring herself and her children backstage at Maroon 5's Las Vegas residency, giving fans the first look at their newborn. In May, Prinsloo shared an adorable snapshot of Levine holding his son during a sunset beach outing.

In July, Prinsloo snapped a selfie while breastfeeding her son in front of a Ferris wheel in Paris, with the caption, "Everything feels more stylish in Paris." She later included a video of her son playfully moving his legs in an Instagram slideshow posted in August.
