Former Bachelor star Amanda Stanton recently shared more information about the "traumatic" birth of her third daughter, Rosie. According to Stanton, the labor was surprisingly fast and easy until the end when she encountered a complication known as shoulder dystocia.

During an appearance on "The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast" on Friday, March 1, the 33-year-old described the overall experience as "kind of crazy."

Shoulder dystocia is when the baby's shoulder gets stuck during birth, causing a delay in the delivery of the baby's body. This is considered an emergency, as explained by Stanton on the podcast.

Stanton further elaborated, stating that while it may not sound dangerous, shoulder dystocia is a serious situation. It requires immediate attention as the baby may have difficulty breathing initially, prompting emergency measures to be taken.

Stanton wasn’t able to hold her daughter right away because of the health scare.

Amanda Stanton shared on Instagram that it was a chaotic experience that happened quickly. She mentioned that doctors were able to increase her oxygen levels swiftly, and ever since then, she has been doing well.

Stanton welcomed her daughter Rosie with husband Michael Fogel in January. She joyfully shared the news on Instagram, expressing her excitement. Along with Rosie, Stanton also has two daughters, Kinsley and Charlie, from her previous marriage to Nick Buonfiglio.

After tying the knot in September 2022, Stanton and Fogel happily revealed that they were expecting their first child together almost a year later.

After Stanton shared that her daughter is named Rosie, some fans of the Bachelor Nation believed it was a tribute to her time on the ABC series.

Stanton gained popularity after being one of Ben Higgins' top four contestants on The Bachelor in 2016. She then joined Bachelor in Paradise season 3 and got engaged to Josh Murray, but they broke up in January 2017. Upon her return to BiP for season 4, Stanton briefly dated Robby Hayes before exiting the show.

During her recent appearance on the “Almost Famous” podcast, Stanton made it clear that her daughter's name has no connection to her past involvement with Bachelor Nation.

Which former Bachelor do you think deserves a second season?

Stanton found it amusing how she never realized the connection until her daughter's name was posted and people mentioned "The Bachelor." She admitted that if she had thought about it earlier, she might have reconsidered naming her daughter that. The connection to the show didn't occur to Stanton because it had been so long since she was on "The Bachelor."
