Former Bachelor Nation contestant Carly Waddell has recently entered into a relationship and is determined to maintain privacy surrounding her new partner. During a recent episode of "The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast," the 38-year-old disclosed that she is currently dating someone and they have been together for four months.
“He’s older than me,” Waddell playfully teased, before revealing that he is a successful entrepreneur. “He embodies everything I've ever desired in a person."
Waddell is a mother to two children, Bella, aged 5, and Charlie, aged 3, whom she shares with her former spouse, Evan Bass. During the podcast, she disclosed that her partner has already had the opportunity to meet her children.
"It's truly wonderful to have him by my side during the chaotic moments in my life," she praised her "encouraging" partner. "He is truly exceptional."
And when it comes to their serendipitous encounter? Waddell discovered the "handsome" Nashville native on Instagram after catching a glimpse of him on a television program. They continually showed their appreciation for each other's photos, until Waddell finally took the initiative to start a conversation.
"In a podcast episode, Waddell recounted her initial interaction with her now-boyfriend, mentioning how she slid into his DMs and humorously questioned their constant liking of each other's posts. In response, he labeled himself as 'old school' and requested a phone conversation. Reflecting on their first date, Waddell expressed her astonishment, describing it as an unforgettable experience that she compared every subsequent first date to."

Carly Waddell first appeared in Bachelor Nation on Chris Soules' season of The Bachelor. She discovered love with Bass on season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise. The couple tied the knot in 2017 before parting ways in 2020.
Waddell has clearly moved on from her ex-husband, but he still remains a part of her life. They have established a strong co-parenting relationship and continue to raise their children together.
Bass, having experience with raising older children, knows what he is doing. He has three older kids, with the oldest being around 21 or 22 years old, and the middle one preparing to go to college. Having raised his kids since they were babies, Bass is confident in his parenting abilities.
Their children visit their father every other weekend, and although Waddell initially had concerns about what they would be doing, she now trusts that he can handle it. If there are any issues or illnesses that arise, they communicate and find a solution together. However, overall, it is not a problem for them.
When reflecting on her marriage, Waddell expressed that she would not change a thing and would make the same choices again. Despite the hardships and difficulties, she believes they were ultimately the right decisions.
