Celebrate with red rose bouquets for everyone! While the road to happily ever after looks different for each Bachelor Nation couple, these couples all found The One in 2023. Even though season 21 Bachelor Nick Viall didn't find his forever love on the ABC series in 2017, he did get another chance at his happy ending with Natalie Joy at the beginning of 2023.
The former host of the "Viall Files" podcast, who previously proposed to Vanessa Grimaldi after his time on The Bachelor, ended their relationship in August 2017. As a two-time Bachelorette semifinalist, he competed on both Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe’s seasons. In 2019, he was first linked to Joy and they officially began dating in the summer of 2020.
The strong connection between Viall and the surgical technician was evident to his close friends, who had predicted as early as November 2021 that they would eventually become engaged.
"They could be the next couple from Bachelor Nation to get engaged," a source exclusively told We at the time. The insider also noted that Viall's friends from Dancing With the Stars are eagerly anticipating an engagement because they know he has been searching for "The One" for a long time.
Three days after announcing their engagement on social media in January, Viall expressed his excitement about his future bride.
"Many of us have hoped that the journey to finding love would be smooth, pure, and free of disappointment. I used to be one of those people. But the reality is that for many of us, the path to love is messy, complicated, and filled with heartache," the author of the book Don’t Text Your Ex Happy Birthday wrote in an Instagram post on January 15. "I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have come through the mess, because it has allowed me to fully appreciate what I have in this moment. @nnataliejjoy, you are perfect to me. You are a guardian for the people you love. Your heart shines brighter than your incredible beauty. You exude joy and bring countless smiles to those lucky enough to be in your presence. I promise to wake up every day and choose you, choose us, and choose our family. Forever ❤️."
In 2023, Viall is not the only former Bachelor or Bachelorette to move forward in their relationship. Hannah Ann Sluss, from season 24 of The Bachelor, announced her engagement to football star Jake Funk on January 25th.
Sluss initially kept her romance with the Los Angeles Rams player low-key in 2021, following a very public split with Peter Weber from Bachelor Nation. The pilot had proposed to Sluss on the show's March 2020 finale, only to later end the engagement after confessing he still had feelings for runner-up Madison Prewett. Weber subsequently ended his relationship with Prewett and is currently dating Kelley Flanagan.

After her tumultuous breakup with Weber, Sluss decided to keep her relationship with Funk private until February 2022. In an exclusive interview with Us in April 2022, she shared, "We met a few months ago and from the moment we met, we just had an immediate connection and have been inseparable since day one. Getting to know him and blending our lives together has been incredibly seamless and effortless."
