Atreus Transforms into Hermes in God of War Ragnarok Glitch

Atreus falls victim to a chaotic glitch in God of War Ragnarok, where he is seen frantically running back and forth without any control The unexpected glitch adds an element of unpredictability and excitement to the game

A fan of God of War Ragnarok stumbled upon a peculiar bug that transforms Kratos’ son into the speedy God, Hermes. While the game is known for its odd glitches, this one stands out as particularly bizarre within the franchise.

Developing a game like God of War Ragnarok is a monumental task that requires countless hours and an enormous budget. Yet, despite the team's efforts to create a cinematic experience, bugs and glitches are inevitable. This latest glitch involves Atreus, a character that appears to be prone to unusual malfunctions.

In a recent Reddit post, a glitch in God of War Ragnarok has been discovered where Atreus, the son of Kratos, appears to be moving at lightning speed back and forth in a room. Upon closer inspection, it seems that Atreus' character model has been duplicated and pasted in two different locations with a blinking line connecting them.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Atreus has been involved in viral clips due to glitches in the game. As the first playable character other than Kratos in the series, Atreus holds a significant role in God of War Ragnarok. With a more complex character model than just a non-playable character, it is possible that this is why Atreus is prone to behaving strangely in these glitches.

Kratos is no stranger to facing powerful gods, including Hermes, the son of Zeus and messenger of Greek mythology. In God of War 3, Kratos managed to kill Hermes and use his winged boots as an ability. However, the fate of Atreus, Kratos’ son, remains uncertain at the end of the game, leaving fans speculating about the possibility of DLC or a standalone game featuring the character. Regardless, players are sure to share any glitches they discover while playing as Atreus.

God of War Ragnarok is available now for PS4 and PS5
