Where to build the Armillary in Starfield
The Starfield Armillary decision takes place towards the middle of the campaign. You are faced with the task of selecting a location to construct this significant device. Your choice in this matter will have noticeable ramifications as the story progresses. It is important to note that this article contains spoilers.
Where to build the Armillary in Starfield
The Starfield Armillary decision occurs at the conclusion of the quest known as A High Price to Pay. During this crucial mission, you are required to decide whether you will defend The Lodge or ensure the safety of your other companions at The Eye. Unfortunately, one of your companions will meet their demise, while the remaining survivors gather aboard The Eye. They seek your input on what should be done with the accompanying artifacts.
The Starfield Armillary is the solution for storing your artifacts. Once constructed, you can conveniently keep all your items in it. Follow these steps:
1. Install the Armillary on your ship - Check the panel located to the right of the pilot's seat. A prompt to build the Armillary will be displayed.
2. Create an outpost on a planet to construct the Armillary. After setting up a beacon, access the Quest tab and choose the Armillary option.
3. Alternatively, you can skip building the Armillary and transport the artifacts without any additional weight. As artifacts have no mass, they do not contribute to the total carrying weight.
The construction of the Armillary on your ship can be completed swiftly and effortlessly.
What happens later after you build the Armillary
In essence, the Armillary functions as a beacon for aggressive Starborn who are also in pursuit of the artifacts. By incorporating it into your ship, you are likely to encounter a higher number of Starborn while traversing through space. Conversely, by refraining from its construction, Starborn may unexpectedly appear during your exploration of space or planets.
Increased Starborn ship spawns occurred as a result of us opting to build the Armillary on our ship instead of trying the outpost option. Despite our doubt that Starborn would attack our remaining crew members, we preferred the safety of having the Armillary on board.
Regardless, building the device comes at a steep cost. However, one lingering question remains: is it possible to rescue your fallen comrade from the mission?
