Asmongold's Jaw-Dropping Reaction to Diablo 4's Game-Changing Update

Twitch star Asmongold provides insightful analysis on the impact of Diablo 4's recent update, offering valuable perspectives on the game's transformation and its implications

During a recent Twitch live stream, popular MMORPG streamer Asmongold shared his thoughts on the latest update for Diablo 4. The recent patch, which was released a few days ago, brings significant changes to in-game mechanics and statistics. One noteworthy change is the buff given to various monsters in the game, including the feared Butcher.

Diablo 4 received high praise upon its initial release, garnering impressive scores on Metacritic. The PC version scored 87, the PS5 version scored 88, and the Xbox Series X edition scored an impressive 92. However, despite its critical success, the action RPG faced criticism from hardcore fans. Shortly after the game's launch, disappointed fans engaged in review bombing on Metacritic, resulting in a significant drop in the user score. Now, with the release of the latest patch, history repeats itself as fans once again resort to review bombing to express their disappointment with the patch's failure to meet their expectations.

Twitch sensation Asmongold has recently shared his thoughts on the latest Diablo patch, and they are far from positive. In his statement, he highlights the key changes brought about by Patch 1.1 and expresses his dissatisfaction with the adjustments. According to him, the overall state of the game seems to have worsened, with increased difficulty and added challenges. He expresses disappointment that players now need to invest more effort to achieve what they previously accomplished, as leveling has become slower and helltides have become more punishing.

While Asmongold acknowledges one positive change, the smart decision to address vulnerability issues, he finds little else to praise. He points out significant existing problems in the game, such as non-functioning resistances, storage and space issues, and the lack of a viable minion build for necromancers. Regrettably, he asserts that none of these crucial issues have been resolved in the latest Diablo 4 patch.

Blizzard is currently facing these challenges with an uncertain approach towards finding solutions. However, there is a glimmer of hope as they have recently announced plans to address player concerns in a special Campfire Chat scheduled for July 21. It is worth mentioning that in March 2023, Asmongold had the opportunity to play the beta version of Diablo 4 and gave it a fairly positive review, rating the beta experience 8.5 out of 10. He particularly praised the game's enjoyable and fun combat mechanics, as well as its captivating cinematics.

Diablo 4 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
