Apple One, Arcade, and TV+ Subscriptions Experience a Price Surge

Apple One, Arcade, and TV+ subscriptions see a price increase, marking the second hike in two years for Apple TV+ Prepare for updated pricing on Apple's popular services

Apple has recently raised the prices of its services, including Apple One, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and Apple News+ subscriptions. The updated pricing is now visible on Apple's website and will be applicable to new subscribers. Existing subscribers will also be subject to these revised rates starting from November 24th. Below is the new pricing structure for customers in the United States:

Apple TV+: $9.99 a month (Previously $6.99)

Apple Arcade: $6.99 a month (Previously $4.99)

Apple News+: $12.99 a month (Previously $9.99)

Apple One Individual: $19.95 a month (Previously $16.95)

Apple One Family: $25.95 a month (Previously $22.95)

Apple One Premier: $37.95 a month (Previously $32.95)

Apple TV+ has experienced its second price increase since its launch in 2019. Initially priced at $4.99, it then rose to $6.99 last year. Despite the increase, customers seemed relatively satisfied with the $6.99 price. However, the recent price hike has now brought the monthly cost of Apple TV+ to $9.99. Additionally, for those who prefer an annual subscription, the price has increased from $69 a year to $99 a year. In comparison, this increase is still more favorable than the latest price hike by Netflix.

Interestingly, this marks the first-ever price increase for Apple Arcade and Apple News+. Both of these services were introduced in 2019, so a price adjustment was somewhat expected. However, some customers felt that Apple News+ was already slightly overpriced at $9.99, and the new pricing of $12.99 does not provide much improvement. Perhaps this pricing strategy for Apple News+ is intended to encourage customers to consider an Apple One subscription instead.

The revised pricing scheme for the Apple One bundle has also impacted its cost. Individual users are now required to pay $19.95 monthly, while families will be charged $25.95. Technically speaking, Apple One still offers a more economical option compared to purchasing its individual components, including Music, TV+, Arcade, News+, iCloud+, and Fitness+. However, this change may prove frustrating for subscribers who have no interest in Arcade or News+.

To clarify, new subscribers are already subject to these revised prices, while current subscribers will experience the new pricing starting from November 24th. It is important to note that other Apple services, such as Apple Music, remain unaffected by the recent price increase.
