Anya Taylor-Joy has revealed that she got married to Malcolm McRae in a unique "vampire" style ceremony two years ago. The Queen’s Gambit actress, aged 27, tied the knot with McRae in New Orleans in 2022. She shared stunning and never-before-seen photos of their wedding day on Instagram on April 2.

She displayed a cake shaped like human hearts that was "anatomically correct," complete with pools of blood.

She also shared pictures of herself in a Dior gown adorned with hummingbirds and thistles while posing with her friend, actress and model Cara Delevingne.

The newlyweds are seen enjoying heart-shaped cakes with bright red icing in a photo.

In another scene, Taylor-Joy is shown covering her face with her veil while standing in front of shelves decorated with candles in a video.

She wrote in the post, "Two years ago, on April Fools, I secretly got married to my best friend in New Orleans. The magic of that day will always be a part of me, forever.

"Happy second ( first ) anniversary my love…you’re the best. P.S. those heart cakes are anatomically correct. And yes, I'm the vampire Lestat."

Lestat de Lioncourt is a character created by Anne Rice in The Vampire Chronicles. Tom Cruise portrayed him in the movie adaptation.

McRae, the lead singer of the U.S rock band More, shared pictures from the special day and expressed his love and appreciation. He wrote: "Happy two year anniversary (yesterday), beautiful. I have always loved you and always will."

He posted two photos from the day, one showing Taylor-Joy in her stunning Dior gown and another video featuring both of them. Taylor-Joy is a global ambassador for Dior.

Malcolm McRae shared a post on his social media account. It was believed that the couple got married in October 2023. Photos from the celebration at Palazzo Pisani Moretta in Venice, Italy were posted online.

Photos from the Italian event captured Taylor-Joy, who usually keeps her love life private, wearing what seemed to be the same tulle gown from her wedding in New Orleans. Around 150 guests were in attendance, including Delevingne, Julia Garner, Aimee Carrero, Keleigh, and Miles Teller.

Taylor-Joy, originally from the US but raised in London since she was six, is most famous for her role in Netflix's The Queen's Gambit. She has also appeared in movies like The Witch, Last Night In Soho, and Emma.

The star, known for her role in Dune: Part Two, has been romantically linked with lead singer McRae since May 2021. They reportedly first met in New York, even though Taylor-Joy mainly resides in London.

In March 2022, just a month after their secret wedding, the actress opened up to British Vogue about their long-distance relationship. She shared, “Yes, it's tough, but it's also wonderful because when we're together, we truly appreciate the time we have. Even simple activities bring us so much joy. I enjoy going to the gas station with him and filling up the tank.”
