The official announcement of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 may leave Gojo fans disappointed. Here's everything you need to know about the latest developments.
Following the conclusion of its second season, Jujutsu Kaisen revealed several plot twists. Yuta Okkotsu, an eagerly awaited character, made his anime debut in the main story but appears to be hostile towards Yuji. The fact that a special-grade sorcerer like him could become Yuji’s executioner is certainly cause for concern.
Yuta, typically known for his kind nature, surprises everyone by volunteering to kill Yuji Itadori. Meanwhile, Gojo remains imprisoned, and despite efforts to free him, pseudo-Geto manages to escape with Gojo at the end of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. Many questions remain unanswered, but all will be revealed in Season 3. Beware, Gojo fans, as Season 3 is set to disappoint you. Dive into the details to learn more. Warning: Major manga spoilers ahead!
Why Gojo fans will not be happy with Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3
Crunchyroll
Satoru Gojo will not play a role in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 due to being sealed inside the Prison Realm during the Shibuya Incident arc. The upcoming season is expected to follow the manga closely and cover three arcs: Itadori’s Extermination (7 chapters), Perfect Preparation (15 chapters), and Culling Game (68 chapters). With so many chapters to adapt, it is uncertain if the entire Culling Game arc will be included in Season 3. However, Satoru Gojo is set to be unsealed in Chapter 221, concluding the Culling Game arc. This means that Season 3 may end with his return or save it for Season 4.
Regardless, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will proceed without the presence of the beloved character Satoru Gojo. While there may be glimpses of him in opening themes or flashbacks, it is no secret among fans that Gojo meets a brutal end in the manga.
Following his return in Chapter 221, Gojo's battle with Sukuna begins in Chapter 222, ultimately leading to his demise in Chapter 236, leaving fans shocked. Therefore, even after his return, Gojo will only appear in 4 to 5 episodes in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4.

Editor's P/S
As a huge fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, I was eagerly anticipating the announcement of Season 3. However, my excitement was quickly dampened when I learned that my favorite character, Satoru Gojo, will not be playing a significant role in the upcoming season. The news came as a shock, as Gojo is one of the most popular and beloved characters in the series, and his absence will undoubtedly leave a void for many fans.
The fact that Gojo will be sealed inside the Prison Realm for the majority of Season 3 is a major disappointment. While I understand that the story must progress and introduce new challenges for the characters, it feels like a cruel twist to keep one of the strongest and most charismatic characters sidelined. Gojo's interactions with other characters, his epic battles, and his overall presence have been a highlight of the series, and his absence will be sorely missed.
