The upcoming Android 14, which is the latest version of the operating system that runs on millions of devices, has been in development by Google. With the recent release of Android 14 Beta 3, we are moving closer to its final version. This latest beta version comes after multiple developer previews, the initial beta launch in April, and a subsequent beta release in May. During this phase, known as "Platform Stability," Google will refrain from making major changes, allowing app and game developers to test their software with a consistent experience.
Compared to Beta 2, there aren't many new features in this release. The Pixel devices now have the lock screen customization feature that was showcased at Google I/O, as well as some new animations. Additionally, this release includes several bug fixes for Wi-Fi calling, power consumption, Android Auto, Health Connect, and more. If you have a supported Android phone, you can download Android 14 Beta 3 now, but if you don't need to test the latest version, it may be best to wait for the final release.
