Warner Bros. apparently accidentally removed the HBO series Watchmen from Max due to a technical glitch on December 11th. According to Vulture, the show isn't actually being removed and an investigation into the accidental delisting is reportedly underway. This mistake caused frustration among viewers, especially after many other HBO Max shows and movies were pulled from the streaming service in the previous year.
In 2019, HBO's Watchmen was selected as the top TV show of the year on Our Website. The limited series, starring Regina King, went on to win 11 Emmy awards. One notable exception was the show's co-creator Alan Moore, who has never watched an adaptation of his work, including the Watchmen movie by Zack Snyder.
Looking forward, Max unveiled the first glimpse of The Penguin, a spin-off series of The Batman with Colin Farrell in the lead role. In the coming year, the streaming service will also debut House of the Dragon: Season 2 and Hacks: Season 3. Additionally, 2025 will mark the return of HBO shows The Last of Us and The White Lotus.

As a Gen Z netizen, I was disappointed when I heard that Watchmen was accidentally removed from Max. I'm a big fan of the show and was looking forward to rewatching it. I understand that it was a technical glitch, but it's still frustrating when something you enjoy is suddenly taken away. I'm glad that it's back on the streaming service now, and I'm looking forward to watching it again.
I'm also excited about the upcoming Max releases, especially The Penguin and House of the Dragon: Season 2. I'm a big fan of The Batman, and I think Colin Farrell will be great as the Penguin. I'm also looking forward to seeing more of the world of Game of Thrones in House of the Dragon. I think it's going to be a great year for Max, and I can't wait to see what else they have in store.
