Why AHS: Delicate Is Being Split Into Two Parts

American Horror Story Season 12: Unveiling the Intriguing 2-Part Saga with an Epic Release Date!

American Horror Story has typically not divided its seasons into two parts, except for season 10, known as American Horror Story: Double Feature. Double Feature was split into two parts because each half of the season focused on a separate story. The first part, Red Tide, had no connection to the second part, Death Valley. However, since season 12 will be based on a novel, it is likely to follow a single overarching storyline.

The ongoing strikes by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) may have been the reason for splitting the season into two parts. On May 31, when the WGA strike was already underway, and before the SAG-AFTRA strike started, it is reported that Kardashian did not support the writers' strike and crossed a picket line of striking WGA writers. When the actors' strike began on July 13, production on American Horror Story: Delicate, along with numerous other television series and film projects, had to be indefinitely halted.

Premiering the latest season amidst the strikes poses a considerable risk, not just due to Kardashian's involvement but also because crew members who showed support for the WGA strike supposedly received warnings that they would be ineligible for any future projects by Murphy. Nonetheless, a representative for Murphy refuted these allegations and stated that the production of American Horror Story season 12 respected the WGA strike.
