America Ferrera stole the show at the 2024 Oscars. She rocked a stunning custom chainmail Atelier Versace gown at the event on Sunday, March 10th, held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The shimmery outfit, which took over 400 hours to create, had thick straps, a fitted skirt, and a delicate gown. Styled by Karla Welch, the Barbie star completed her look with a diamond necklace from Pomellato and Stuart Weitzman heels.

Ferrera looked stunning with a soft glam look featuring pink lips and long lashes. Her brunette hair was styled in beachy waves with a side part.

Before hitting the red carpet, Welch excitedly told E!‘s Zanna Roberts Rassi about Ferrera's look being a “mission” to achieve. Versace created “10 different versions” of the gown for her. Ferrera chose to go for a pretty in pink look for the event because “Barbie changed her life.”

This year, Ferrera is up for her first Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her role as Gloria in Barbie.

Although Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig, who play the leading lady and director of Barbie, were not nominated in their categories, the movie itself received nominations for Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design.

Two popular songs from the movie are nominated for Best Original Song: “I’m Just Ken” by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, sung by Gosling, and “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell.
