Ali Wong, the star of Beef, has officially completed her divorce from her ex-husband, Justin Hakuta, according to Entertainment Tonight. The couple, who separated in April 2022, went through with the divorce filing in December 2023.
Last week, Wong and Hakuta came to an agreement, according to ET, which obtained court documents. Wong represented herself during the process. The former couple stated that they were considered officially single as of July 17.
ET reported that the custody agreement for their two daughters, Mari, 8, and Nikki, 6, was not included in the document. Details of any financial settlements were also not disclosed.
Wong and Hakuta tied the knot in 2014. After eight years of marriage, they announced their separation in April 2022. Wong filed for divorce in December of the previous year, citing "irreconcilable differences."
Despite their separation, Wong expressed gratitude towards Hakuta during her acceptance speech at the Golden Globe awards in January. She won the award for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television for her role in Beef.
She took the opportunity to thank Justin, the father of her children and her best friend, for his unwavering love and support. Wong acknowledged that it is because of him that she is able to successfully juggle her roles as a working mother.
Wong shared in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she prefers to maintain a peaceful, grateful, and amicable attitude. After her win, she expressed her sentiments about this approach.
Since 2022, Wong has been romantically linked to fellow comedian Bill Hader. Recently, during the final night of her residency at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, Hader, 45, made a special appearance on stage to share a sweet moment with Wong.

At the end of her comedy set on May 12, Wong excitedly asked, "Do you know who my boyfriend is? Do you want to meet him?" Soon after, Hader joined her onstage, surprising her with a red rose and a kiss. He praised Wong for her "effortless" performance before leaving the stage. As he exited, Hader playfully declared, "Ali Wong is off the market!"
In January, a source informed We that the couple's relationship has become more serious recently. According to the insider, they have a strong foundation and marriage is definitely being considered by the couple.
Another source said, “Friends know that they’re going to go the distance – they’re both at ease and [obsessed] with each other at the same time.”
