In Alan Wake 2, players will encounter various regions to explore. Within these regions, players can discover side puzzles and tasks. These tasks include secret stashes tied to the Cult of the Tree, which contain extra supplies, as well as Alex Casey lunchboxes that provide resources for upgrading weapons. Additionally, players can engage in optional tasks involving nursery rhyme setups created by the FBC. These setups consist of chalk drawings with poetic riddles that require the correct placement of carved wooden dolls. By activating these setups, players can alter reality and reveal a useful charm for Saga Anderson.
In Return 3: Local Girl, players of Alan Wake 2 will find themselves searching within the Watery location for answers. They aim to uncover why everyone in the area seems to be familiar with Saga's name and history, as she delves deeper into the mysterious events occurring. Within this region, players will come across several nursery rhymes. The guide provided below will assist in solving the one found near Watery's Radio Tower.
How To Solve The Watery Radio Tower Nursery Rhyme Puzzle in Alan Wake 2
While on the quest to locate Saga's trailer keys at the Coffee World Gift Shop in Alan Wake 2's amusement park in Watery, players will come across a nursery rhyme. As they make their way from Downtown Watery, heading northward, they will eventually spot a marked location on the map known as the Radio Tower.
Heading towards it, players will actually find the rhyme scene is south of the Radio Tower itself, in a small clearing in the woods:
Upon approaching the scene, players will have the opportunity to read the enigmatic riddle. It becomes evident that in order to unravel this particular rhyme, the previously acquired deer doll must be utilized. Therefore, players should delicately position the deer doll on the chalk house located at the lower left corner of the arrangement.
Place the deer doll on the drawing of the house in the bottom left of the scene.
If this happens to be the fifth nursery rhyme that players successfully solve, they will also unlock the Strange Reality Trophy/Achievement.
Upon placing the deer doll, players must brace themselves for an immediate confrontation with two possessed wolves emerging from the surrounding woods. Utilizing the protective aura of the light in the center of the clearing and their chosen weapons, players should be able to successfully repel the attacking wolves with relative ease.
On normal difficulty, two wolves manifested. It is worth noting that the impact of difficulty settings on this encounter remains unconfirmed.
After defeating these wild creatures, players can then backtrack from a picnic table nearby and make their way towards the welcoming glow of a secure refuge. Adjacent to the healing aura, an assortment of essential resources lies within a crimson supply crate, while unfortunately, a lifeless deer (presumably the victim of the wolves) rests on the ground:
In front of the defeated deer lies the deer charm, waiting to be collected by players. This charm bestows Saga with enhanced resistance to staggering or interruption, proving to be a valuable asset in facing future ambushes on the path towards the main objective.

Alan Wake 2 is finally here, and it's every bit as good as I'd hoped it would be. The story is gripping, the characters are well-developed, and the gameplay is challenging and rewarding. I'm particularly impressed with the way the game uses nursery rhymes to create a sense of mystery and foreboding. The Watery Radio Tower puzzle is a great example of this.
The puzzle itself is relatively simple to solve, but it's the atmosphere that really makes it special. The eerie music, the dark and stormy setting, and the creepy nursery rhyme all combine to create a truly unforgettable experience. I can't wait to see what other surprises Alan Wake 2 has in store for me.
