Remedy has provided an update on the expansions for Alan Wake II, namely Night Springs and The Lakehouse. According to Remedy, the first expansion, Night Springs, is scheduled for release in "late spring 2024," though this timing may be subject to alteration. The release date for The Lakehouse has yet to be determined.
Additionally, Remedy has shared the official plot synopses for the expansions. In Night Springs, players will assume the roles of "several familiar characters" and participate in standalone episodes of the in-game TV show Night Springs.
Players will explore a "mysterious facility" situated on the shores of Cauldron Lake in The Lake House. Within this facility, secretive research activities are taking place, resulting in disastrous consequences.
To gain access to the two expansions for Alan Wake II, players can acquire the Expansion Pass through the $80 Deluxe Edition. It remains uncertain whether the two expansions will be obtainable individually.
Alan Wake II will feature not only two expansions, but also a New Game+ mode and a photo mode.
