Abigail Breslin has leveled allegations against her Classified costar Aaron Eckhart, claiming that his conduct on set was "aggressive, demeaning, and unprofessional."
Breslin's allegations were outlined in a breach of contract lawsuit filed against defendant Breslin on Thursday, November 2. We, have reviewed the lawsuit, in which the production company of the movie claims that her accusations disrupted the project's timeline and caused producers to incur losses of $80,000.
Privately this year, Breslin, who is 27 years old, shared her grievances about Eckhart, who is 55 years old, with Dream Team Studios. As stated in the lawsuit, her claims nearly brought the entire production to a standstill.
Breslin accused Eckhart of engaging in aggressive, demeaning, and unprofessional conduct, which she claimed put her in danger at different times. In a letter to the SAG-AFTRA union, she expressed her concerns and strongly criticized Eckhart's behavior.
According to court documents, Breslin insisted on not having any scenes alone with Eckhart, leading to expensive adjustments being made by the production team to meet her demands. Failure to meet these requirements would have resulted in her refusing to fulfill her contractual obligations.
The legal case also disclosed that a producer adhered to SAG-AFTRA guidelines for ensuring a "safe set" and carried out an inquiry. No proof of Eckhart's involvement in any wrongdoing was discovered, as the documents dismissed Breslin's allegations as unfounded, exaggerated, and fictitious.
Catherine Zeta-Jones, Abigail Breslin, and Aaron Eckhart featured in the cover images of the movie "No Reservations."
There has been no public response from Eckhart regarding Breslin's allegations. We have contacted both actors for their comments. Breslin's representative informed Rolling Stone that the Little Miss Sunshine star is unaware of any legal action taken against her and has not received any legal notices.
Ms. Breslin's spokesperson firmly rejects all alleged accusations and fully supports her statement that she confidentially provided to SAG.
Classified, an exciting thriller helmed by Roel Reine, tells the story of a CIA agent (Eckhart) who reunites with his daughter (Breslin), an M16 analyst in the U.K., to expose a false claim about his demise. Tim Roth also features in this dramatic film written by Bob DeRosa. The primary shooting took place in Malta during the spring season.
Classified, released in May, marked the second collaboration between Breslin and Eckhart. Their previous joint project was the 2007 film No Reservations, in which they co-starred alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones. Breslin was only 10 years old at the time. No Reservations was a romantic comedy set in the culinary industry, featuring rival chefs. Additionally, the storyline revolved around Kate, played by Zeta-Jones, who had recently gained custody of her young niece, Zoe.
