Max has revealed that it is now the new exclusive home for A24, incorporating the acclaimed indie films into its streaming and cable offerings through a multiyear agreement.
As one of the most distinguished brands in indie films, A24 continues to captivate audiences. With this new partnership, fans of the films can now discover them in a new location.
Since its establishment in 2012, A24 has become known for producing top-notch films and television projects. They have been the creative force behind major successes over the past decade, such as Everything Everywhere All At Once, Moonlight, and The Whale.
Now, these films are transitioning to a new platform, which may potentially disappoint some fans as it involves consolidating their favorite films under one banner.
A24 and Max sign exclusive streaming deal
A24 has inked a new streaming agreement with HBO, as per Deadline's report. Under the deal, the Max streaming service will exclusively feature A24's major films, totaling over 100 titles, such as the upcoming release Priscilla.
A24 has entered into a new agreement, ensuring that films such as Priscilla will be exclusively available for streaming on Max.
This multiyear deal marks the ongoing growth of the partnership between A24 and Max. While certain A24 films have been accessible on Max since 2022, the new agreement guarantees that upcoming films will be released exclusively on the Max platform.
A24's new deal with Showtime marks the end of their previous agreement. Paramount+ used to be the exclusive streaming platform for A24's popular films like The Whale, but as of now, A24's films can still be found on Paramount+. In addition to streaming on Max, A24's movies will now also be shown on HBO and Cinemax premium cable channels.

As an enthusiastic fan of A24 movies, I am thrilled about their new exclusive streaming home on HBO Max. This partnership brings together two powerhouses in the entertainment industry, ensuring that A24's critically acclaimed independent films will reach a wider audience. The multiyear deal guarantees that upcoming A24 releases, including the highly anticipated "Priscilla," will be available exclusively on Max, making it a must-have streaming service for cinephiles.
While some fans may be disappointed that A24 movies will no longer be available on other platforms like Netflix, I believe this move is a positive step for both A24 and HBO Max. It allows A24 to consolidate its content under one banner, providing fans with a centralized location to discover and enjoy their favorite films. Additionally, HBO Max's extensive library of quality content complements A24's offerings, creating a diverse and compelling streaming experience for subscribers.
