The anime is scheduled to premiere on January 6, 2024. A Sign of Affection is a Japanese romance manga series written and illustrated by Morishita. It began serializing in Kodansha's Dessert magazine in July 2019 and has since been compiled into nine tankōbon volumes. Additionally, an anime adaptation has been produced by Ajia-do Animation Works.

The cast of the series

The main characters, Yuki Itose and Itsuomi Nagi, are voiced by Sumire Morohoshi and Yū Miyazaki, respectively. Sumire has previously lent her voice to Kyōka Izumi from Bungo Stray Dogs and Emma from The Promised Neverland. Meanwhile, Yū has previously voiced Sachirō Hirugami in Haikyuu!!.

Itsuki Nagi appears in the anime series, as portrayed in the image by Ajia-do Animation Works. Also featured in the series are Takeo Ōtsuka as Ōshi Ashioki, Ryota Ohsaka as Kyōya Nagi, and Kaede Hondo as Rin Fujishiro. Takeo previously lent his voice to Aquamarine Hoshino in Oshi no Ko, while Ryota voiced Keiji Akaashi in Haikyuu!! and Maou Sadao in The Devil is a Part-Timer. Kaede, on the other hand, previously portrayed Kirisame in Dr. Stone and Hitomi Mishima in Hinamatsuri.

Finally, Ema Nakazono will be voiced by Nao Tōyama and Kokoro Iyanagi will be voiced by Tasuku Hatanaka. Nao has previously lent her voice to characters like Giselle in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War and Ruka Sarashina in Rent-A-Girlfriend. Tasuku, on the other hand, has voiced characters such as Denki Kaminari in My Hero Academia and Hakkai Shiba in Tokyo Revengers.
