5 Mind-Blowing Watch Dogs 2 Features GTA Fans Demand for Grand Theft Auto 6

GTA enthusiasts compile a top 5 wishlist of features inspired by Ubisoft's Watch Dogs 2 that they believe would greatly enhance the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6

Highlights

Fans propose incorporating elements from Watch Dogs 2 into Grand Theft Auto 6. This could involve enabling players to report non-playable characters to the police and infiltrating the police database for the purpose of causing distractions or generating clashes between rival gangs.

According to fans, the hiding mechanics while inside vehicles in Watch Dogs 2, which offer a more realistic experience, are preferred over the method of hunching down behind the wheel in GTA 5.

Watch Dogs 2's vibrant map design, constant visibility of nearby police on the mini-map, and the option to play music through characters' phones instead of relying on car radios like in GTA 6, have all been appreciated by fans. In fact, a recent compilation by a fan highlighted several features from Watch Dogs 2 that could potentially enhance Grand Theft Auto 6. Although Rockstar officially confirmed the existence of Grand Theft Auto 6 in February, the release date and official title still remain undisclosed.

Grand Theft Auto 5, released ten years ago in September, has remained relevant due to Rockstar's consistent updates and expansions to GTA Online. However, fans are eagerly anticipating a new installment, especially after the significant leak of Grand Theft Auto 6 details last September. The leaked information suggests that the game will feature a return to the Miami-inspired Vice City, two new protagonists named Jason and Lucia, and improved police artificial intelligence.

Given the anticipation for GTA 6, it's not surprising that fans are exploring other crime sandbox games to determine what they desire in the upcoming release. One Reddit user, trumoomilkboi, examined Ubisoft's Watchdogs 2 and compiled a slideshow outlining five desirable features for Grand Theft Auto 6. These ideas encompass calling the police on non-player characters, enhanced vehicle hiding mechanics, an improved map system, constant visibility of police on the mini-map, and a mobile radio feature. Although not all ideas received unanimous support from the community, they raise important considerations for Rockstar Games in the development of GTA 6.

As trumoomilkboi pointed out, Marcus in Watch Dogs 2 has the ability to hack into the police database and create false arrest warrants for NPCs. This feature, if implemented in GTA 6, could be used for creating distractions or inciting conflicts between rival gangs and the police. The suggestion was made to introduce a support NPC similar to Lester from GTA 5, or alternatively, have Lucia or Jason from GTA 6 make an anonymous call from a burner phone.

This mechanic proposed by trumoomilkboi was considered the most significant among their ideas, as the other suggestions revolved around improving existing features. In Grand Theft Auto 5, characters can hide in their cars by hunching down behind the wheel. However, trumoomilkboi finds this appearance to be silly and unrealistic. In contrast, the approach taken in Watch Dogs 2 is more believable, where Marcus turns off the car, sits low in his seat, and leans away from the window.

The development of Grand Theft Auto 6 is underway.
