Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa has provided a sneak peek into the multitude of outfits that the Fifteenth Doctor will be seen wearing in season 14. Gatwa, who will debut as the Time Lord in a special episode airing during the 2023 holiday season, spoke about his character's style and revealed his admiration for Jon Pertwee's iconic fashion choices. “The day Russell invited me to meet everybody, they asked me what sort of costume I wanted. I showed them this Ralph Lauren collection that had a collaboration with Historically Black Colleges in America. I really adore those pieces, they have such a preppy and African American aesthetic. But then they inquired about my other preferences since they had been contemplating various outfits, almost one for each week. This is something new and I absolutely love it. The Doctor has explored all of time and space; therefore, they should have a fabulous wardrobe... I have a special fondness for Jon Pertwee, the Third Doctor's attire. Those lovely velvet jackets paired with frilly shirts. I feel a connection to him, as both our Doctors possess a bold and provocative style."
