In the video, Badgley hints at the unresolved matters from Joe's history, but remains secretive about the potential return of certain characters for the show's concluding season. Nevertheless, the video offers glimpses of several individuals who have managed to survive Joe's destructive spree in previous seasons.

What Characters Will Be Returning in You Season 5?

As shown in the accompanying video, despite Joe's killing spree, there are still several loose ends left alive. Now that he has once again emerged as Joe Goldberg and his reported death has been proven false, it is inevitable that people from his past life will become aware of his presence. The video hints at the possibility of certain characters making a return, such as the wrongly accused therapist Dr. Nicky (John Stamos), the influential suburban couple Sherry (Shalita Grant) and Cary Conrad (Travis Van Winkle), as well as Joe's former young companions Paco (Luca Padovan) and Ellie (Jenna Ortega).

It is possible that some of these characters could make a return, but due to their busy schedules, particularly Ortega's involvement in other projects like Netflix's Wednesday and the Scream franchise after her appearance in You season 2, it may be difficult for them to appear for more than one episode. Furthermore, considering Marienne's perspective as a character, it is unlikely that she would want to attract Joe's attention now that he believes she is dead.
