Ford expressed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter his eagerness to begin working on Season 2, particularly due to the numerous delays encountered with Indiana Jones 5 and the recent premiere of Shrinking on Apple TV. Despite accepting the roles without a script, Ford had faith in the creators' ability to provide him with a solid screenplay. He underestimated the amount of effort required for 1923 but firmly believes it is worth it. Ford eagerly anticipates the opportunity to continue with both projects for another season.
In an interview with Town & Country, Mirren expressed her joy at the show's renewal, stating, "I was very happy to hear the news."
Describing the work on the show as an adventure into the unknown, Mirren expressed her fascination with the character's development, particularly where Cara is headed. She mentioned that showrunner Taylor Sheridan had mentioned that Cara is very much a product of her time, focusing on her responsibilities at home. However, Sheridan also hinted at future events, saying, "Wait, things are going to happen." Mirren eagerly looks forward to seeing how these developments unfold.
