Xbox Update Enhances Game Pass Transparency on Upcoming Game Removals

Stay ahead with Xbox's latest update! Get timely notifications when Game Pass titles are about to leave, ensuring you never miss out on the action Keep your gaming library up-to-date effortlessly

The latest Xbox update introduces a new feature that provides a convenient way to be informed when a game is about to be removed from Game Pass. Previously, Xbox would inform users about the departure of a set of games through the Xbox Wire news service or a notification on the Xbox app. The store page would also display the departure date. However, a recent report from PureXbox reveals that now, when you start up a game that is leaving soon, a notification screen will appear, displaying the exact day and date the game will be removed and providing a link to the store page. This change aims to give players a warning if they are in the middle of playing a game that is scheduled to leave Game Pass.

Xbox has revealed the list of games departing in November. The initial group, departing on November 15, includes Final Fantasy VIII HD, River City Girls, and The Gardens Between. The second batch, leaving on November 30, includes Haven, Football Manager 2021, and Va-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action. Many new titles have also joined Game Pass this month, including Thirsty Suitors and Like A Dragon: The Man Who Erased His Name, which are available from their release day.

In other Xbox news, Microsoft has partnered with Inworld AI to develop AI tools specifically for Xbox games.

Editor's P/S

As a hard fan of Xbox, I am thrilled with the latest update that enhances Game Pass transparency on upcoming game removals. The new feature that notifies players when a game is about to be removed from Game Pass is a significant improvement. Previously, it was challenging to keep track of which games were leaving the service, and I often found myself missing out on titles I wanted to play. Now, with the notification screen that appears when starting up a game that is leaving soon, I can plan my gaming sessions accordingly and make sure to finish any games I'm invested in before they're gone.

Furthermore, the fact that Xbox has revealed the list of games departing in November in advance is greatly appreciated. This allows me to make informed decisions about which games to prioritize playing and which ones I can skip. It also helps me manage my gaming backlog more effectively. Overall, I believe this update is a positive step forward for Xbox Game Pass and shows that Microsoft is committed to improving the service for its subscribers.
