Xbox Game Pass Unveils Mind-Blowing Day One Co-Op Game and 2 Epic Titles

Microsoft has recently updated its Xbox Game Pass subscription service, introducing three new games, one of which is available on its day of release. While Xbox Game Pass subscribers were already aware of one game being added today, they may be pleasantly surprised by the addition of two more titles.

In their initial announcement regarding the new Xbox Game Pass games for the first half of July 2023, Microsoft specifically mentioned the inclusion of the early access version of Techtonica. Techtonica is a unique game that revolves around building factories on a mysterious alien planet, where players gather resources. Additionally, Techtonica offers cooperative gameplay, allowing Xbox Game Pass subscribers to experience the game with a friend.

Techtonica's inclusion as an Xbox Game Pass game from day one adds an extra level of excitement to its debut. However, this recent update to the subscription service introduces other thrilling games as well. Xbox Game Pass subscribers on cloud, consoles, and PC can now explore Toem, a captivating photography game set in a hand-drawn black-and-white world that received mostly positive reviews upon its original release. Additionally, The Cave, a 2013 adventure game created by Ron Gilbert, the mastermind behind Monkey Island, is now accessible on Xbox consoles and the cloud.

Techtonica, added in the July 18 update of Xbox Game Pass, is expected to grab the most attention from subscribers. Its co-op support and being a day one game make it stand out from Toem and The Cave, which also have their own fans. Day one games are a major reason why many fans subscribe to Xbox Game Pass, as playing enough of these games on the service can essentially cover the cost.

Looking ahead, there are several more day one games for Xbox Game Pass in the coming months. The highly anticipated Starfield will be released in September, followed by Forza Motorsport in October. Starfield marks the first new single-player Bethesda game since 2015, while Forza Motorsport continues the acclaimed Xbox console-exclusive racing game franchise. While Starfield's official release date is September 6, Xbox Game Pass subscribers in certain regions can get early access starting from August 31 by opting for the Premium Edition Upgrade at an additional cost.
