Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican rapper, is now a playable character in WWE 2K23 as a DLC based on his appearance at Backlash 2023.

Bad Bunny amazed his fans with his wrestling abilities during his WWE appearance, earning widespread adoration through viral videos showcasing his impressive moves.

The latest Bad Bunny DLC, designed for WWE 2K23 players, encompasses his Backlash 2023 outfit, an exclusive MyFACTION EVO card, logo, nameplate, and background.

Wrestling enthusiasts can now take on the persona of Bad Bunny in the virtual ring with the introduction of a new WWE 2K23 DLC playable character. This character is modeled after the Puerto Rican rapper's memorable performance at the Backlash event earlier this year.

Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio's passion for professional wrestling has been evident, as he even composed and performed a song paying tribute to WWE legend Booker T. This song was included in the soundtrack of last year's WWE 2K22 game, released a year after Bad Bunny's noteworthy appearance at Wrestlemania 37. During that event, he teamed up with Damien Priest to face The Miz and John Morrison.

While celebrity appearances in WWE can be hit or miss, Bad Bunny impressed fans with his remarkable wrestling abilities, and clips of his moves rapidly became viral. He continued to make numerous appearances on WWE programming over the past couple of years, eventually teaming up with Rey Mysterio, the cover star of WWE 2K22, to take on the villainous Judgment Day faction. Their storyline culminated in a thrilling San Juan Street Fight between Bad Bunny and his former partner Damien Priest at Backlash 2023, where Bad Bunny emerged victorious with the assistance of the newly-formed Latino World Order faction.

Bad Bunny, the rapper-turned-wrestler, is now available as a special character in WWE 2K23. Players can get this new Bad Bunny DLC as part of the WWE 2K23 Bad Bunny Edition or as a standalone Superstar Pack. The Bad Bunny Edition, priced at $139.99, and the Superstar Pack, priced at $9.99, were announced on the 2K website. WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H also shared the news on Twitter.

In this DLC update, players can play as Bad Bunny in his Backlash 2023 attire, which includes Adidas Men's Tech Fall 2.0 Wrestling Shoes. Additionally, players can unlock an exclusive Bad Bunny Diamond tier MyFACTION EVO card, which can be upgraded to the Pink Diamond tier. The DLC also includes a Bad Bunny logo, nameplate, and background for use in WWE 2K23's MyFaction mode. Lastly, players can equip their created wrestlers with a new LWO Puerto Rico t-shirt as part of the Bad Bunny DLC.

WWE 2K23, released last year, marked a significant improvement in 2K's WWE video game series. Following its success, WWE 2K23 continued to enhance the game with its John Cena-focused WWE 2K Showcase Mode and the inclusion of the thrilling War Games match. Moreover, Visual Concepts, the developer, has been consistently adding new content to the game's already impressive roster. These updates include DLC packs and the introduction of playable wrestlers like Mia Yim and Candice LeRae, all of which have greatly enhanced the gaming experience.

Initially, fans who pre-ordered WWE 2K23 had exclusive access to Bad Bunny. However, the dynamic rapper can now be enjoyed by all players, thanks to the newly released WWE 2K23 Bad Bunny Edition or the standalone Bad Bunny pack. Bad Bunny's incredible victory against Damien Priest at Backlash 2023 astounded wrestling enthusiasts, and this new DLC enables players of WWE 2K23 to relive that momentous match in the virtual world.

WWE 2K23 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
