WoW Season of Discovery: Gnomeregan Raid Reset Update

Explore the recent changes in the Gnomeregan raid reset schedule within WoW's Season of Discovery Phase Two. Discover how the reset timings have aligned with Phase One's schedule, providing a smoother gameplay experience for all adventurers.

In WoW Season of Discovery, Raiding remains a crucial aspect of the endgame experience, even as the level cap increases in each Phase. Phase Two introduces the 10-man Gnomeregan Raid as the new max-level Raid, similar to Phase One's BFD Raid, where players are limited to one run within a specific time frame.

The reset time for the Gnomeregan Raid mirrors that of BFD, with Phase Two-specific variations. Discover how the Raid reset system functions in WoW Classic, how to reset a Raid in WoW SoD, and when exactly Gnomeregan will reset until the anticipated launch of Phase Three.

When you party up with a 10-man group and enter an instance, you are creating a version of the Raid that is tied to your own progression. Players can only run these endgame instances once within a given time frame, along with everyone in your group. When your group kills the first boss of a Raid, everyone in the group will be locked to that instance.

Until the Raid resets, you and your party members will not be able to run the instance from the start, and get loot from defeated bosses, again – even if you go with another group.

In World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, if you don't complete a run, the remaining bosses will still be killable for all group members until it resets. If you see players advertising for Raid groups with "4/6" completion in a capitol city, it means they've beaten four out of the six bosses in the Raid, and are recruiting others who only need to down the last two bosses too.

How To Reset Raids in WoW SoD

Unlike dungeons, SoD Raids cannot be reset manually outside of the instance. They occur automatically at regular intervals, which may differ from other iterations of WoW. In Phase One, the Blackfathoms Deep Level 25 Raid was not initially available during the launch of the Season of Discovery. It became accessible two weeks later to allow players to level up and explore the revamped version of WoW Classic. Following its release, the Raid reset every three days at 8 a.m. server time.

Similarly, the Gnomeregan Raid is expected to follow a comparable schedule. Although not locked at the start of Phase Two, access to this Raid was restricted. Players could enter Gnomeregan with a one-week lockout from the launch of Phase Two. Currently, Gnomeregan resets regularly every three days.
