Wit Studio announces anime adaptation of Ascendance of a Bookworm part 3

TO Books announced on December 6, 2023 that Miya Kazuki's Ascendance of a Bookworm light novel series will be adapted into a new anime by Wit Studio. The new anime will cover the third part of the series, titled Adopted Daughter of an Archduke. Written by Miya Kazuki and illustrated by You Shiina, Ascendance of a Bookworm is a Japanese fantasy light novel series that was first serialized online from September 2013 to March 2017 on the novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. The series was later acquired by TO Books and also received manga and anime adaptations.

After the release of Ascendance of a Bookworm season 3 in 2022, fans had been eagerly awaiting news of a potential fourth season. Their patience was rewarded when the series' publishers, TO Books, announced that the light novel series' third part, Adopted Daughter of an Archduke, is set to be adapted into an anime by Wit Studio.

It's worth noting that the first three seasons of the anime were produced by Ajia-do, known for their work on anime like How Not to Summon a Demon Lord and Kemono Jihen. However, it appears that the production rights for the anime will now be transferred to Wit Studio.

What to expect from Ascendance of a Bookworm season 4?

As previously mentioned, the fourth season of the anime Ascendance of a Bookworm will be adapting the third part of the light novel series. According to the synopsis of the third part, Myne is expected to have a fateful encounter with a noble. This encounter is poised to drastically alter Myne's life, leading her to assume the name Rozemyne and bid farewell to her family and friends in the lower city.
