Highlights
Xbox Game Pass has had a strong lineup of games in recent months, but it's starting to slow down, with November needing more heavy hitters to keep the streak going.
The highly anticipated games coming to Xbox Game Pass in November include Persona 5 Tactica and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. Additionally, smaller indie games like PlateUp! could also be notable additions. Although it is unlikely for Activision-Blizzard games to arrive on Xbox Game Pass in the near future, there is a possibility of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and other games being included before the year's end.
Xbox Game Pass has been enjoying a successful run lately, starting strong in August with games like Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Sea of Stars, and Age of Empires 4. The impressive lineup has continued into September with hits like Starfield and Lies of P, and October introduced Forza Motorsport, Gotham Knights, and Dead Space. However, it appears that the momentum of Xbox Game Pass is beginning to slow down, despite the inclusion of some highly anticipated games in November.
A total of seven games have been confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in November 2023. While Persona 5 Tactica and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name are the most anticipated additions, there are also a few smaller indie games joining the service, such as PlateUp!, which has the potential to be a standout this month. Although November shows promise for Xbox Game Pass, it would benefit from the inclusion of more high-profile releases to maintain its impressive streak.
Xbox Game Pass New Game for November 2023: Hogwarts Legacy
The highest-selling game of 2023 so far, and likely the one that'll retain that top spot by the time the year is out, Hogwarts Legacy would be an absolute dream to have on Xbox Game Pass. While the series' creator is pushing for controversial politics, her limited involvement in Hogwarts Legacy does provide a slight degree of separation. And that's beneficial because what's actually inside Hogwarts Legacy is truly worth experiencing for any Harry Potter fan. With a Nintendo Switch port set to launch this month, Hogwarts Legacy will undoubtedly regain attention once again, and Warner Bros. might as well capitalize on that by releasing it on Xbox Game Pass too.
Xbox Game Pass New Game for November 2023: RoboCop: Rogue City
RoboCop: Rogue City, one of the most highly anticipated games of November, is a perfect fit for Xbox Game Pass this month. Recently unveiled at the new Xbox Partner Preview event, RoboCop: Rogue City pays homage to the beloved 1980s action franchise with a delightful blend of tongue-in-cheek satire and clever twists on traditional RPG elements. The only drawback is its steep price, but fortunately, Xbox Game Pass can easily remedy that.
Xbox Game Pass New Game for November 2023: Dredge
Xbox Game Pass New Game for November 2023: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
Dredge continues to generate buzz even seven months after its release, putting it in strong contention for Indie Game of the Year at the 2023 Game Awards. This charming fishing game pairs a stunning art style with a haunting Lovecraftian twist. While it may not be available on Xbox Game Pass in time for Halloween, there is a hopeful possibility of its arrival in November. Furthermore, the game is receiving a significant DLC expansion this month, making it an ideal time for Dredge to join Xbox Game Pass.
While Xbox has made it clear that Activision-Blizzard games won't be added to Xbox Game Pass in the immediate future, there remains a glimmer of hope that some beloved classics could make their way to the service before the year's end, although the chances of this happening are admittedly quite slim. However, if any Activision game were to join Xbox Game Pass, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy would be an excellent choice as the initial offering.
