Clint Howard Returned In Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
Clint Howard, known for his multiple appearances in the Star Trek franchise, recently appeared in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2, episode 8, titled "Under the Cloak of War." In this episode, a flashback to the Klingon War depicted in Star Trek: Discovery, Howard portrayed Commander Buck Martinez. Commanding a Starfleet forward operating base, Buck Martinez introduced Nurse Christine Chapel (Jess Bush) and Dr. Joseph M'Benga (Babs Olusanmokun) to the viewers. Apart from his notable guest role as Balok at the age of 7, Howard has also played Grady in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Muk the Ferengi in Star Trek: Enterprise, and a Creepy Orion in Star Trek: Discovery.
Tranya has made appearances in other Star Trek shows throughout the years. In Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Curzon Dax, inhabiting Constable Odo's body, ordered two "very cold" Tranyas at Quark's Bar. In Star Trek: Picard season 1, the crime boss Bjazel served drugged Tranya to Dr. Bruce Maddox at her bar on Freecloud in the episode "Stardust City Rag." Hopefully, the Tranya in these later versions was not as unpleasant for the actors to consume compared to the one William Shatner drank in Star Trek: The Original Series.
