Could a reunion between Prince Harry and Prince William be on the horizon? The estranged brothers may have a chance to come together at the same wedding next month.

The Duke of Westminster, Hugh Grosvenor, is getting married to Olivia Henson at Chester Cathedral in England on Friday, June 7. Although it has been said that important members of the royal family, like King Charles III and Queen Camilla, have been invited, it remains uncertain if both Harry and William will be present at the event.

The siblings' relationship has had its share of challenges over the years, especially since Harry decided to step back as a working member of the royal family. Page Six first reported in December 2023 that Harry declined a wedding invitation to avoid a potentially awkward encounter with his brother. He personally called The Duke of Westminster to turn down the invite for himself and Meghan Markle.

However, this was before Princess Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis became public earlier this year. In March, Harry and Meghan reportedly reached out to William and Kate, as shared by ITV Royal Editor Chris Ship.

"Harry and Meghan have reached out to their brother and sister-in-law in private," Ship revealed. It's unclear whether they had a phone or video call or simply exchanged messages of support.

According to royal author Tom Quinn, William and Kate have shown interest in reconciling with Harry and Meghan. However, Quinn mentioned to The Mirror in April that this effort has not made much progress yet.

The group still has a long journey ahead. Harry is currently struggling with difficult emotions after learning about his sister-in-law's illness. Royal expert Tessa Dunlop shared exclusively with We in March that Harry is in a "painful place."

"It's tough to deal with the news that your sister-in-law has cancer, especially when you've said things that can't be taken back," Dunlop explained. "It's a really tough situation to be in, no doubt about it."

In another report in April, author Quinn mentioned to The Mirror that it would be "awkward" for Harry to go to the wedding. Quinn explained that William will be attending the wedding of Hugh Grosvenor, the seventh Duke of Westminster, as he is Prince George's godfather. Quinn also reiterated the speculation that Harry would not be present at the event.

Harry has been told by Meghan that she won't attend, so he won't go without her, according to a royal author.

Although it hasn't been confirmed yet, Prince Harry is expected to go back to England for several events in the coming months, one of which is the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games scheduled for next month.

Editor's P/S:

The potential reunion between Prince Harry and Prince William at the upcoming wedding of the Duke of Westminster is a topic of great intrigue. Despite their strained relationship in recent years, the brothers may come together in the wake of Princess Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis. Sources suggest that Harry and Meghan have reached out to William and Kate, hinting at a possible reconciliation. However, royal experts caution that the siblings still have a long way to go in mending their bond.

The wedding could provide an opportunity for Harry to publicly show his support for his sister-in-law and acknowledge the pain he caused with his past remarks. It remains to be seen whether he will attend without Meghan, or if their absence will cast a shadow over the event. With the Invictus Games also approaching, Harry's return to England offers further chances for reconciliation with his family. The outcome of these events will shed light on the future of the royal brothers' relationship and the unity of the Windsor family.
