Whoopi Goldberg's hilarious slip-up on 'The View' has the audience in stitches as she accidentally replaces 'beaches' with a comical word Watch the funny moment unfold!

On the June 26 episode of The View, Whoopi Goldberg had a hilarious on-air mishap. During the "Hot Topics" segment, the 67-year-old Oscar winner made a script flub while discussing travel preferences. She accidentally said, "A poll of 2,000 adults in the U.K. found that when people travel, cuisine is more important to them than landmarks or bitches," but quickly corrected herself by saying, "Beaches!"

Goldberg's cohosts, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, along with the show's audience, burst into laughter at the moment. The Sister Act star then apologized for the mix-up of words and playfully shifted the blame onto the show's crew.

"I apologize; it should say 'beaches'," she remarked on the show. "This is your fault, and I can't even explain why it's your fault."

Goldberg made an effort to move on from the embarrassing mistake and asked her cohosts for their thoughts on the travel poll. However, Navarro, 51, couldn't resist making a quick sarcastic remark, saying, "Honey, I'd go anywhere for a good argument." Goldberg responded with a sarcastic "Thanks."

Although the "beaches" incident was more light-hearted, it wasn't the only uncomfortable moment the EGOT winner had on the show this year. In a previous month, Goldberg caused a stir when she referred to American Idol as "the start of the decline of society."

During a discussion of the Netflix documentary Anna Nicole Smith: You Don’t Know Me on May 24, she elaborated on the portrayal of reality TV shows such as Basketball Wives and the Housewives series, implying that they create a perception of wrongdoing in one's own life. These shows draw viewers because they provide a sense of superiority and the opportunity to pass judgment. Goldberg, who recently expressed interest in replacing Pat Sajak as the new host of Wheel of Fortune, goes on to explain that our society has become obsessed with judging others, which has spiraled out of control.

The Color Purple actress caused a stir last week when she shared her opinions on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's recent car chase in New York City. Speaking on The View's May 18 episode, she commented, "Their spokesperson referred to it as a near-catastrophic car chase. Some may argue it wasn't that bad, but personally, I believe that if car chases were possible in New York, we would all still manage to make it to the theater on time."

Joy Behar concurred with Goldberg's observation about the traffic in NYC, expressing, "At times, when I'm in the city and I hear an ambulance struggling to make its way, I can't help but contemplate the possibility of a tragedy."

Nonetheless, Hostin, aged 54, urged her cohosts to recognize the gravity of the situation. The incident involved the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, aged 38 and 41 respectively, purportedly being chased by paparazzi for over two hours after attending an event with Markle's mother, Doria Ragland.

Hostin pointed out that considering the circumstances, it would not be desirable for Harry to be constantly pursued by e-bikes and Sedans throughout the city, given the tragic car chase incident resulting in the death of his mother, Princess Diana, who tragically passed away in a car crash involving paparazzi in Paris at the age of 36.
