Celebrities like Jake Gyllenhaal and Brad Pitt are just like us when it comes to meeting their idols and other famous stars. Gyllenhaal recently shared that he was starstruck when he met Pitt on the set of The Good Girl in the early 2000s.
"I had the opportunity to work with Jennifer Aniston, who was his wife at the time, and we had some very intense scenes. One memorable moment was when I accidentally hit the door while trying to shake Brad's hand," Gyllenhaal shared with the outlet. "Instead of making a big deal about it, Brad simply said, 'It's okay, you've got another one.' He was incredibly kind and sweet to me, and it was a really beautiful moment. I have to admit, I was completely starstruck."
On the other hand, Pitt fondly recalled his experience meeting Luke Perry, one of his all-time favorite actors, while they worked together on Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The movie was released just two months after Perry's passing in March 2019, following a massive stroke at the age of 52.

On the set of The Good Girl in the early 2000s, Gyllenhaal was in awe when he met Pitt, who was married to Jennifer Aniston at the time. There were some intimate scenes with Aniston, and Gyllenhaal accidentally hit the door when trying to shake Pitt's hand. Pitt reassured Gyllenhaal and showed kindness, leaving a lasting impression. Gyllenhaal admitted to being starstruck by the encounter.
During the filming of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Pitt had the honor of meeting Luke Perry, one of his favorite actors. Sadly, Perry passed away two months before the movie was released, at the age of 52. Pitt spoke highly of Perry, praising his humility, commitment, and friendliness in a 2019 interview with Esquire. He recalled their wonderful conversations and cherished the time they spent together.

The former This Is Us star was completely starstruck when he came face to face with Meryl Streep. "She's just chatting away, being her usual amazing self, and I'm like, 'I can't, I don't know.' The Cravings founder and her husband, John Legend, were in attendance at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in April 2023, where they found themselves sitting just a few tables away from the Vanderpump Rules stars Ariana Madix, Lisa Vanderpump and Lala Kent.
“One month later on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Teigen recalled, "On our way out, we actually stopped by their table. They were being mobbed by people. Adele, the renowned "Hello" singer, was taken by surprise at the 2023 Grammy Awards in February when she was introduced to none other than Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Host Trevor Noah revealed, "The person that Adele has always wanted to meet and never has, is Dwayne Johnson," before bringing the former wrestler to Adele’s table. "I don’t have Dwayne Johnson here tonight, but I do have someone called The Rock."
The British singer was amazed as she stood up to embrace Johnson. Later, she won the award for Best Pop Solo Performance ("Easy on Me"), and the actor referred to her as his new "best friend."
In the meantime, Adele’s boyfriend, Rich Paul, pretended to playfully fight Johnson during one of the show’s breaks, making the musician laugh as Paul shook his fist at the Black Adam actor.

The singer of "Chasing Pavements" was incredibly surprised to find out that Shania Twain was in the audience for one of her Las Vegas shows. "Thank goodness you were wearing a hat," the Grammy winner quipped on Instagram in November 2022, sharing a photo of Twain in the crowd. "I would have completely lost it if I had seen it was you. I admire you so much, I can't believe you came to my show."

"During a May 2022 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the Game of Thrones alum gushed about Kendall Jenner's presence at the Met Gala, expressing admiration for the Kardashians. Pitt even recalled saying to DiCaprio, "That's Luke f--king Perry!" in their interview for Esquire's Summer 2019 issue. Recounting how Perry had been an icon of coolness for them as teenagers during his time on Beverly Hills, 90210, they felt like kids in a candy shop with the chance to act alongside him.
The actor from Titanic agreed, recalling a moment with his friend Vinny when they were both starstruck by seeing Luke Perry. Pitt also shared his first celebrity encounter, mentioning the surreal experience of seeing John Cusack at a concert after moving to L.A., describing it as strange to be in the same room as someone he had watched on the screen.
