The upcoming 2023 MTV Video Music Awards are set to include some of the biggest stars in music — and some newcomers.
Taylor Swift leads this year's VMA nominees with eight nominations, looking to secure another "Video of the Year" win after setting records in 2022 as the only artist to win the category three times. Close behind Swift are SZA with six nominations, and Doja Cat, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, and Sam Smith with five nominations each. Additionally, this year introduces several first-time VMA nominees who have received multiple nominations including Metro-Boomin, Rema, Ayra Starr, GloRilla, Ice Spice, Peso Pluma, Reneé Rapp, and Yung Miami.
