Vince McMahon denied the allegations of sex trafficking and sexual harassment made against him by Janel Grant. He claimed that their relationship was consensual and that Grant willingly visited his home during their affair.

Court documents obtained on Tuesday, April 23, revealed McMahon's defense. The 78-year-old former wrestling tycoon stated that Grant had written him a love letter expressing her feelings. In the letter, Grant referred to McMahon as her best friend, love, and everything. She also praised him for being a wonderful, tender, vulnerable soul who wears his heart on his sleeve.

McMahon alleged in the filing that Grant cheated on her fiancé with him. He claimed they lived in the same building, and Grant would visit his condominium at all hours before returning to her place later.

According to the docs, McMahon and Grant ended their affair in January 2022. Grant, who also worked with McMahon at WWE, left her job there at the same time. McMahon’s filing claimed that Grant filed her lawsuit against him after he did not pay her $3 million to keep their relationship a secret.

McMahon was named by Grant when she filed her lawsuit in January, alleging she experienced "physical and emotional abuse, sexual assault, and trafficking" while working. Grant stated that McMahon pressured her into a physical relationship in return for a job at WWE. She felt compelled to give in to the pressure out of fear of facing negative consequences if she refused.

During her time working at WWE, Grant accused McMahon of sharing sexually explicit photos of her with colleagues and pressuring her into having sexual relations with other employees during work hours.

McMahon strongly denied all allegations of sexual assault, trafficking, and abuse made by Grant after news of the lawsuit became public.

A spokesperson for McMahon stated that the lawsuit is filled with lies, fabricated instances, and a distorted version of the truth. McMahon will defend himself vigorously.

In 2022, McMahon resigned as WWE CEO and Chairman of the Board amid sexual misconduct allegations. He has not been charged with a crime.

He stated in a statement released by WWE that he has pledged his full cooperation to the investigation by the Special Committee. He also mentioned that he will do everything in his power to support the investigation. Additionally, he committed to accepting the findings and outcome of the investigation, regardless of what they may be.
