The Victoria’s Secret Fashion show is making a big comeback with even more excitement and glamour.

On Wednesday, May 15, the official Victoria’s Secret Instagram account announced that the brand’s 2024 fashion show will feature feathers, extravagance, and other over-the-top pieces that were missing from the 2023 show. The brand stated, “We’ve listened to your feedback. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is making a return and will showcase our current identity along with all the elements you love—the glamour, runway, wings, musical performances, and more! Stay tuned for what's to come...it's only going to get more iconic from here. 🪽#VSFashionShow.”

Fans wasted no time sharing their reactions in the comments section. One follower questioned if Victoria's Secret was back with their iconic wings and lingerie or back with a less impressive fashion show. Victoria's Secret confirmed it was the former. Another fan expressed their excitement, saying it brought them immense joy.

In the video shared with the announcement, Victoria's Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel was shown texting "The VS Squad," instructing the models to get to the runway.

“This fall pack your wings,” she wrote.

In 2018, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show made headlines for being more inclusive than previous years. However, fans were let down when they noticed that the models were not wearing the iconic angel wings.

Victoria's Secret made a change by turning their previous fashion shows into a movie. The film showcased a group of 20 creative individuals from Bogota, Lagos, London, and Tokyo, as mentioned in a press release. The models featured in the film included Melissa Valdes, Korty, and Aoi Yamada.

In 2019, Victoria's Secret decided to cancel their show because of a drop in sales and criticism for not being diverse enough. Over the years, famous models like Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, Gisele Bündchen, and Tyra Banks have all graced the runway for the brand.

The upcoming Victoria's Secret Fashion Show promises an extravagant return to form, featuring the iconic wings and lingerie that fans have come to love. The brand has listened to feedback and is eager to showcase its current identity while honoring the elements that have made the show so popular. This announcement has generated excitement among fans, who eagerly anticipate the return of the glamorous runway spectacle.

The show's evolution over the years has been marked by changes in inclusivity and format. In 2018, the show featured more diverse models, but the absence of angel wings disappointed some viewers. The subsequent shift to a movie format in 2019 was met with mixed reactions. However, the return to a traditional fashion show format with the return of the signature wings is a welcome move that is likely to resonate with fans of the brand.
