Upcoming Release of Kuroko's Basketball Street Rivals Game

Kuroko's Basketball, a highly successful manga series that was also made into a popular anime, is now getting another adaptation with the upcoming game titled Kuroko's Basketball Street Rivals. The game's developer, FIVECROSS, recently announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the mobile game is set to be released on November 16. It will be based on the anime adaptation of Tadatoshi Fujimaki's original manga and will include beloved characters from the show.

Gamers have the opportunity to choose and play as beloved characters from the anime series, such as the protagonist Tetsuya Kuroko and his co-protagonist Taiga Kagami. The objective of players is to strengthen and enhance the abilities of these characters, enabling them to dominate in intense 3v3 basketball challenges. Street Rivals, a real-time 3D mobile game, grants players the ability to control one of their team's three characters at a time, with the aim of achieving steals, rebounds, assists, and points. Each character possesses unique strengths, abilities, and special skills that accurately replicate what is portrayed in the anime and manga.

Kuroko no Basuke's manga was published from 2008 to 2014 and appeared in the esteemed Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine, which is also responsible for publishing other renowned series such as Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, and My Hero Academia. This captivating story was subsequently adapted into an anime bearing the same name, with the first season premiering in 2013, followed by the second season also in 2013, and the third and final season in 2015.

The tale of Kuroko no Basuke revolves around Tetsuya Kuroko, a modest teenage boy embarking on his first year of high school. With a deep passion for basketball, he decides to join his school's team in pursuit of his love for the sport. However, he lacks the physical attributes, such as strength, agility, and speed, that typically define a great player. In contrast, Taiga Kagami, another first-year student, possesses exceptional athletic abilities and pursues victory with intensity. Kagami's strength shines brightly, while Kuroko finds his strengths hidden in the shadows. Together with the rest of the Seirin High basketball club, they face formidable rivals, particularly the Generation of Miracles, who were once Kuroko's teammates in middle school.
