Upcoming K-drama Breakout: Single’s Inferno Star Eyeing Debut

Single's Inferno proved to be a hit for Netflix, earning it recognition as a successful Korean dating series, which eventually led to the production of a second season. The popularity of the second season surpassed that of the first, largely due to its talented cast, particularly the charismatic UDT soldier Dex. Dex quickly garnered a large fan base, capturing the hearts of viewers until the season finale.

After departing from the dating series, his popularity has surged as he now hosts his very own YouTube talk show featuring renowned guests such as TWICE's Sana, his ultimate K-Pop crush. Additionally, he has made appearances on YouTube channels owned by former UDT soldiers and recently landed a role in Netflix's Zombieverse.

Dex's aspirations did not cease with the conclusion of Single's Inferno Season 2, as he has effortlessly demonstrated his proficiency in front of the camera. Consequently, the next logical progression for him is to embark on an acting career. Currently, Dex is in discussions to take on a role in a webtoon K-drama.

Dex will appear in an action thriller titled ‘i Shopping’

Dex's agency has confirmed that he is venturing into acting by reviewing the webtoon K-drama i Shopping, as reported by Soompi. While his character and role details have not been disclosed yet, this marks his first foray into the acting industry.

The Kakao webtoon, i Shopping, is an intense thriller revolving around a vengeful abandoned adoptee. The story revolves around an adoption brokerage agency that operates clandestinely, assisting individuals in securing under-the-table adoptions while avoiding legal procedures. Additionally, they also partake in the illicit act of child removal in exchange for a monetary fee.

The K-drama's main protagonist was formerly an abandoned adopted child of the agency, and now he wishes to assist the children who are sent back. Information regarding i Shopping is scarce, with no updates on the K-drama's official cast or release schedule. The director for the series will be Oh Ki-hwan, known for his work on Not Yet Thirty.
