How to Participate in the DreamSnaps Challenge

While the main plot of Disney Dreamlight Valley has come to a close, the game continues to evolve. Gameloft has committed to regular updates, ensuring a continual stream of new features and characters. In addition, a recent road map hints at an upcoming story, set to begin in late 2023.

But for now, Disney Dreamlight Valley players have a lot to anticipate. Apart from the DreamSnap Challenge, players can also expand their village roster by unlocking a new character. Here is the guide on how to unlock Vanellope from the Wreck-It-Ralph series.

Talk to Scrooge

Start your journey to unlock Vanellope by locating Scrooge McDuck and engaging in a conversation with him. Scrooge McDuck shares his peculiar encounter with a ghost at the castle, positioned near the fountain, and requests the players to investigate the matter. This marks the initiation of the mission known as "The Haunting of Dreamlight Valley".

Ascend to the highest floor of the enchanting castle where the captivating fountain resides, and catch a glimpse of Vanellope's peculiar glitching phenomenon. Perplexed by her unanticipated arrival in Dreamlight Valley, it appears that this unfamiliar setting is exacerbating her glitching episodes beyond the usual. To lend a helping hand, players must seize the moment and snap a photograph while partaking in the exhilarating DreamSnaps Challenge. This catapults the current quest to its conclusion, initiating the commencement of the enthralling adventure titled "Faith, Trust, and Pixel Dust."

How to Participate in the DreamSnaps Challenge

On the Event page, players will notice a new section called DreamSnaps situated beneath the existing Star Path. The duration of the ongoing challenge is currently unknown, although the goals for the challenge will evolve periodically.

To participate in DreamSnaps, players are required to adorn a designated region of their valley with furniture that possesses the specified tags mentioned in the challenge. As of the time of writing this guide, the obligatory tags include:

Playful (x5)

Familiar (x5)

To enhance clarity for players, it is suggested to use certain styles such as Modern and Wreck-It-Ralph. The provided image illustrates specific items that fulfill the requirements to advance this quest. When browsing through furniture options, it is feasible to filter them according to their respective Universe origins and associated tags.

Return to Vanellope

Winning the DreamSnap challenge is not a prerequisite for advancing in this quest. While capturing a selfie, players will have the choice to enter the photo they snapped into the DreamSnap Challenge. After players are content with their image and have submitted it, the quest will be updated.

During her conversation with Vanellope, she unexpectedly breaks the fourth wall and affirms the existence of additional Dreamlight Valleys, also known as other players. Seeking assistance to establish a connection to this specific Dreamlight Valley, she realizes the necessity of acquiring a beacon.

Thankfully, players do not need to create this themselves. The "beacon" refers to Vanellope's house. Exit the castle and scout for a suitable location to position Vanellope's house. Constructing the house only requires 4,000 Star Coins, which can be earned relatively quickly. Once the construction is complete, initiate a conversation with Vanellope to finish the quest.
