Originally, I had a small [dialogue] scene in the beginning. We filmed a short segment showing her chatting with a guy online using a fake name. Yeah, she believes that this is all she deserves in her life and has chosen to make the best of it. I thought it would be interesting to show a girl who has no one to talk to, not in a "I Am Legend" way or with a "Wilson" like in Cast Away. She hasn't gone crazy; she's just lonely but believes it's her penance for her past sins. So yeah, I thought it was an intriguing approach. However, when we were pitching the script and Kaitlyn came on board, there were parts that might confuse viewers if they're doing something else. So I'm thrilled that Hulu recognized it as something that will grab people's attention.
