After its initial two films, Knives Out has gained a dedicated fan base, and the thrilling escapades of Benoit Blanc are far from over.
Released in 2019, the first movie delved into the mysterious demise of the acclaimed writer, Harlan Thrombey (played by Christopher Plummer), and delved into the possibility of his affluent yet dysfunctional family's involvement. Audiences were captivated as detective Blanc (portrayed by Daniel Craig) joined forces with Marta Cabrera (played by Ana de Armas) to unravel the murder, all while Marta attempted to conceal her own connection to the crime.
The cast of Knives Out included Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, and Jaeden Martell. Rian Johnson, who directed, wrote, and produced the film, continued to expand the Knives Out universe with the first sequel, titled Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. This sequel served as an anthology, with Craig being the only returning cast member from the first film, reprising his character.
Glass Onion premiered on Netflix in December 2022, bringing together a fresh set of characters in a captivating murder investigation. Benoit journeyed to a secluded Greek island to unravel the mystery surrounding two deaths linked to the fictitious tech mogul Miles Bron (played by Edward Norton). Joining the cast for the second installment were Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista.
