According to a tweet by Patrick Maka, Starfield players have the opportunity to obtain the Mark 1 Spacesuit, Mark 1 Pack, and Mark 1 Space Helmet early on in the game. This particular suit can be found in the basement of The Lodge, displayed on a mannequin behind a glass case secured with a Master-level lock. Normally, players would need to have a Security rank of 3 to attempt picking the lock with their digipicks. However, it has been discovered that positioning the cursor in a specific spot allows players to bypass the lock and acquire the spacesuit.
To acquire the Mark 1 Spacesuit, along with its accompanying pack and helmet, players must have obtained the Lodge Key, which is obtained after joining Constellation and embarking on the main quest. To locate the basement, players can simply enter The Lodge and take the first door on the right. From there, they can descend the stairs and turn left in the next room, leading them to a bathroom. Taking a right and continuing to the next wall will lead to a small storage room where the suit can be found in the corner. While it may not be the best suit in the game, it is certainly one of the more favorable options available during the early stages.
Bethesda's intention to prevent players from acquiring the powerful Starfield suit early in the game is evident by their design of the glass as a barrier. Consequently, it is likely that this exploit will be fixed in a future update. Although Bethesda has not disclosed its specific plans for future Starfield updates, more information is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks and months.
